Vacation Station Mobile Slot Review

The Vacation Station slot is another in a long list of the more classic type games from PlayTech. It’s based around heading off on a nice relaxing break where you will be met with a host of items that you might need to take with you.

It’s a pretty basic 3 reel, 8 payline slot and honestly, doesn’t have an awful of features going for it. What you can find includes scatter symbols and jackpot games, which is actually more than some of the comparable PlayTech slots to Vacation Station.

Theme

The mobile slot is based around your holidays, but in all honesty it never really grabs you. It has symbols that include a suitcase, ship, motor bike, train, plane, car, hot air balloon and other random things that don’t really have much to do with anything. Graphically the slot struggles as well and the backdrop of the map is a nice idea, but in all honesty it makes it look a little messy and awkward more than anything.

That being said, we were impressed with the portrait function, which is an area that many slots don’t actually seem to address, but PlayTech seem to be keen to rectify this.

Features

The scatter symbol – suitcases – is going to be your best friend on Vacation Station. This will provide you your biggest chances of winning and the more you get, the bigger the prize. Four scatters will get you your bet back, whereas five or more will start with a multiplier of 10x your bet working all the way up to 1000x your bet by filling the grid. This may seem like a tough ask, even for the lower pay-outs, but the scatters are much frequent then you would think and the four scatters combination is actually very common, which keeps you ticking over nicely.

Finally the jackpot games allow you to win 1000x your bet when you collect three of the plane symbols. This is a much simpler way compared to getting 9 of the suitcases, but we would hazard a guess that the likelihood is just the same.

It’s worth noting that this isn’t ever going to be a get rich quick game. The jackpot ‘only’ goes up to 8,000 coins but with bets ranging from 0.01 to 1.00 it does provide a reasonably good range of bets and will provide a good bang for your buck. Alternatively, there are probably better games in the PlayTech series that meet the same brief as Vacation Station, but with a few more added bonuses and even feature rounds to boot.
