Gold Rush HD Mobile Slot Review (Probability)

Probability must have thought their original Gold Rush was a bit too primitive and so they came back with Gold Rush HD. The game play is almost identical but the presentation is obviously crisper and it looks as if their budget for clip art was increased.

This is still a five-reel game with payouts along 25 winlines. Stakes begin at 0.01 units and bets can be placed as high as 1.00 unit per line. There remains no way these miners are going to link their claims together for a progressive jackpot. Auto Spin is available.

The background has been upgraded significantly since the early days of the first Gold Rush at Probability. Now we can see actual gold mines, ore cars and chuck wagons. All the game symbols remain the same but the Indian has become a chief and the sheriff has shined up his badge considerably. The minor playing card symbols have been given a new look that appears to be a cross between the Old West and the circus. Western theme music can be turned on or off to accompany play.

The Bag of Gold is clearly the prize to be unearthed on the reels of Gold Rush HD and an elusive quarry it is. Just two in the first two positions on the reels will yield 20X your stake. Five will return a whopping 3000X your stake in gold coins. The Sheriff’s Badge is not an unwelcome sight in these parts, either as it returns 75X your bet.

The disembodied legs dancing the Cancan symbol is the Wild in Gold Rush HD. It high steps only across Reels 2, 3 and 4 and substitutes for all other symbols to produce winning combinations.

The Cactus is still the Scatter although it has been dressed up in a star-spangled bonus icon. It still brings six, eight or ten free spins spending on how many trigger the bonus. All prizes are doubled during bonus play. It is a real Gold Rush!
